Another day in paradise, Katie thought to herself as her eyes opened, shifting her bare legs under smooth satin sheets.

Wait. Where am I?

The night before came flooding back to her. Right. Marybeth and Christine and oh my God what happened.

Katie was alone, naked, under the covers in the bedroom of Marybeth’s suite. Oh, now I remember. La Posada. Marybeth’s hotel. We all crawled into bed after we had fun.

Katie blinked twice. Her eyes were a little dry. And it was fun. Almost too much fun, really. Katie never knew Christine had it—whatever that was—in her, to dominate Marybeth the way that she had. And certainly she could never have expected Marybeth and Christine to have that sort of relationship, or arrangement, or whatever you wanted to call it. Christine had been so nice, so normal around Serena and her. I wonder if her boyfriend knows.

Katie stuck her lower lip out, remembering not to bite it. Heck. He’s probably into it. Boys are like that. She pulled the covers up over her head.

Serena’s voice came from the other room. “Hey, wake up, sleepyhead.”

“Boys are dumb.” Wait, where did that come from?

“Huh?”

“Nothing,” Katie said, and peeked out from under the covers to see Serena peeking just around the entryway to the bedroom. Her blonde hair was tied up and messy, and she wore only a long t-shirt that barely covered her bottom. “Where’d you get that shirt?”

“Marybeth and Christine had to leave super early in the morning. Marybeth had some filming shuffled around, so they flew out of La Paz first thing in the morning. You were so far gone we couldn’t wake you up.”

I must have been totally gone. Wow. “Wait, that’s Christine’s shirt from yesterday.”

“Isn’t it sexy?” Serena said as she turned around and shook her bottom at Katie. “Anyway, Marybeth said we could use whatever we needed and that her assistant Karina would come tomorrow and pick up her stuff. We can stay in the room until then.”

Katie sat up in bed, holding the comforter over her breasts. “Wow, that’s crazy. Life of a celebrity, huh?”

“Guess we get to ride her big fancy coattails.” Serena made a big air quotes gesture at this.

“Good. I hope she’s got fancy clean underwear for us.”

“Actually… she didn’t get us anything new, but she had the concierge wash our clothes for us. They’re in the black bag in the living room. That, and we can wear whatever clothes of theirs we want.”

Wow, she thought of everything. “Well if we have some clothes to wear, I’m in no hurry to get back to all the naked old men at Punta Hermosa,” Katie said.

“Exactly. I kinda want to check out La Paz since we’re here, too.” Serena peeled off her shirt, and tossed it on the floor towards the foot of the bed. “I’m gonna take a shower. Coming in?”

Why not. “Yeah, just let me get my bearings. Is there coffee here?”

“Organic only,” Serena said, holding a mug out from around the corner.
